The Passing of Charlie “Spoon” Spoonhour (June 23, 1939 – February 1, 2012)

NBS Sports is grieving the loss of one of its finest color commentators, former men’s basketball head coach Charlie “Spoon” Spoonhour.  Spoon coached at Missouri State, St. Louis, and UNLV.  He covered the Missouri Valley Conference for NBS Sports.

We will greatly miss Charlie, and we will honor him at the 2012 State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament in St. Louis.
